Trouble Logging Into Merriam-Webster Account

Modified on Mon, 17 Jun, 2024 at 12:44 PM

If you are unable to log in to your Merriam-Webster account, you may want to first verify that there is an existing account linked to your email address. You can do this by going to the registration page (https://www.merriam-webster.com/register) and entering your email address in the "Email" field. If a red bar appears under your email address, there is already an account with that email. If a green bar appears under your email address, there is not already an account with that email.

Once you've verified the existence of your account, you may want to try changing your account password. If you are still unable to log in, please send us a message including your device model, the Internet browser you use to access Merriam-Webster.com, and any error messages you get when attempting to log in. A member of our support team will get back to you as soon as possible!

Finally, if it appears as though you do not have an existing account, but you have a subscription to a Merriam-Webster product, please see the following FAQ article: I have a subscription, why can't I log in?
