Change the Email Address Associated with an Account

Unfortunately, we are not able to change the email address associated with an existing Merriam-Webster user log-in account. If you are unable to maintain your account using the email address that you originally registered with, you will need to register a new account using your preferred email address.

Please note that if you have a subscription in the Merriam-Webster Dictionary mobile app for iOS or Android, your subscription is linked to the Apple ID or Play Store account that was used to purchase it. The subscription is not linked to your Merriam-Webster user log-in account, and registering a new account with a new email address will not affect your existing app subscription.
